NEW MILLION DOLLAR CLUB MEMBERS - BERNIE & CHRISTINE MANTOS

Every two months, newly-inducted Million Dollar Club member Bernie Mantos travels overseas for three weeks to “look after” his expanding team. He selflessly dedicates his time to teammates who are committed to achieving success, and personally guides them as they move towards their goals or embark on the 4-week rank advancement journey. “I know what it’s like — when I first started my USANA business, there were few people in Singapore who could help support me. At that time, I was busy with my job, busy starting a family, and added on the USANA business. In those early days, my wife, Christine, was the ‘negative’ one. She supports all my decisions, but told me, ‘If you decide to do USANA, I’m happy; but if you decide not to do it, I’ll be more happy.’”, shares Bernie.

Now, Christine laughs as Bernie recounts this to others and admits she is truly happy he decided to persevere in building his USANA business. “We have been blessed to have found likeminded teammates who understand our mindset, vision and system and they have stepped up to achieve more. But we welcome everyone, even those who don’t necessarily agree 100% with us and prefer to explore their own methods and styles. All our teammates agree on the same thing though — open communication and open collaboration. In this business, partners are not threats and there should be no selfishness amongst us. Whether we’re from different teams, different countries, have different goals or visions, we are all partners in achieving our personal goals. Bernie and I strongly believe in achieving not just health and wealth freedom, but also to enjoy the freedom of choice — the freedom to work with your preferred mentors and teammates, the freedom to choose your goals, the freedom to choose to make life changing decisions.”

Bernie and Christine come from different family backgrounds and as such, their deep “WHY” are different, even though they work toward a common goal. For Bernie who experienced a difficult and poor childhood, achieving financial freedom is important to give his family a good, comfortable life; for Christine whose father worked away from his family as an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) for over 30 years, achieving time freedom so that families can stay together means a lot to her. This makes them a powerful duo in supporting their teammates as they can understand the different problems that each individual faces and can then help them in the best ways possible.

As former employed OFWs themselves, Bernie and Christine are now happy in their chosen second home of Singapore with their two sons, ages 6 and 2. “Happiness and success in life is not about where we are geographically located. These can be found wherever our family is. With the right attitude and mindset, you can bloom wherever you are planted!”

每两个月，新晋百万俱乐部的Bernie Mantos都会出国三个星期，以“照顾”正在扩张中的团队，他无私地将自己的时间都奉献给了那些渴望成功的队友们，同时他还会亲自指导那些正准备向为期四周晋升之旅目标迈进的伙伴们。“我知道那是怎么回事，在我刚开始USANA事业的时候，新加坡并没有太多人可以来支持我、帮助我，而那时我既要忙于我的工作，还要忙着开展一个家庭，再加上USANA事业，所以我很明白他们会经历什么。在早先的那些日子里，我的妻子Christine还是那个‘反对’者，虽然她表示支持我的所有决定，但是她告诉我‘如果你决定从事USANA，我会很开心；但如果你决定不从事USANA，我会更开心’”，Bernie分享道。 Christine笑看Bernie都还记得这些，如今，她承认自己为Bernie能够坚持下来并建立起这份事业而感到庆幸。“我们很幸运我们可以找到志同道合的伙伴，大家理解彼此的思想、愿景和系统，我们团结在一起以取得更大的成就；然而即使有人并不是百分之百的认同我们，他们想要发展出自己的风格和方法，我们也会热烈欢迎。我们所有的伙伴都认同一件事——开放式的沟通和协作。在这份事业上，伙伴之间不是一种威胁，所以我们之间不应有任何自私自利的行为，无论我们是否来自不同的团队、不同的国家，无论我们是否有着不同的目标和愿景，我们都是共同追求个人目标而在一起合作的伙伴。Bernie和我坚信我们实现的不只是健康和财富自由，我们更享受选择的自由——选择和我们喜欢的导师及伙伴们一起工作的自由，选择我们目标的自由，选择改变人生决定的自由。”

Bernie和Christine有着不同的家庭背景，尽管他们内心那个“为什么”的动机不尽相同，但这并不影响他们朝着共同的目标迈进。就像Bernie，他有过贫苦的童年经历，所以实现财务自由让家人过上舒适的生活对于他来说至关重要；而对于Christine来说，由于父亲长期在海外工作，远离家庭30多年，所以实现时间自由，能让家人团聚在一起对她来说意义重大。这些内因让他们成为一对强劲的拍档，让他们得以理解每个人所面临的困难，并以最佳的方式来支持及帮助他们。

Bernie和Christine都曾属于受雇海外的工作人士，现在他们的两个孩子一个两岁一个六岁，在新加坡这个第二故乡，一家人幸福地生活在一起。“生命中的快乐和成功，和我们所处的地理位置无关，家在哪里快乐就在哪里。只要有正确的心态，无论你在哪里，都可以像花朵一样盛开，都可以绽放你的光彩！” Reference: Celebrating Success Facebook
